A powerful earthquake in Iran and Iraq border is recorded at 6.3 on the Richter scale

Iran: Iran and Iraq border today have a powerful earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale. This earthquake was felt in the capital of Baghdad and several states of Iraq. The earthquake struck at about 8 pm local time yesterday near the Surfol e Zahaf, in the western part of Iran, in the Kermanunza province, which borders Iraq. The buildings were damaged due to the earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale. The electric poles fell down.

The vibration of this earthquake was felt in the capital of Baghdad and in several states of Iraq. Homes in most of the villages of Sarfoll e Jahab in Iran were particularly damaged. The first news reported that 170 people were wounded in the accident. Many of them have reported minor injuries. As a result, civilians left home and got to the streets.

Following the earthquake, disaster rescue teams, military personnel, policemen and rescuers are rushed to the affected areas and are in rescue operations. Authorities have reported that the earthquake has been damaged by Iran and Iraq border crossings and towns, villages and homes
