Additionally 3 cannons are added to the army including the US M7777

Deolali: Defense Minister Nirmala Seetharaman yesterday joined the Army with three cannons and vehicles including M7777 light guns purchased from the US. The US military used M777 lightweight cannons in the war in Iran and Afghanistan. These can easily be carried by helicopters to tallest places. In the meantime, India signed a contract to buy 145 M7777 cannons from the US at Rs 5,070 crore. The US has begun to supply these cannons to India. The gathering will be held in Deolali, Maharashtra yesterday.

In addition, the K-9 Vajra Tank manufactured in India and the currently carrying cannon (CGTV) of the Army. Defense Minister Nirmala Seetharaman was present at this event. The first artillery brigade will be connected to 18 M7777 cannons and K-9 Vajraengs in June next year
