Tehran: A gold currency trader named Sultan of Cairns has been charged with assaulting a large quantity of gold coins. Wahid Maslumian and another currency trader were charged with corruption charges. Maslumani and his associates have claimed to have sealed nearly 2000 kg of gold coins.
The demand for gold coins and US dollars in the country is rising as the value of Iran's currency is declining. As the US sanctions imposed on Iran again recently, Iran's value has fallen to 70 percent against the US dollar. This led to the daily living conditions of the people. The protesters fought in the streets against corruption in the country. A major initiative has been initiated to prevent and cope with economic crimes that seriously affect the country.
In the special courts set up in Iran to investigate economic crimes, seven people have been sentenced to death this year. It is noteworthy that some investigations were broadcast live on state television
