14,926 killed in road accidents in past five years: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has expressed concern over the deaths of 14,926 people who have suffered bad roads in the past five years. Hundreds of people die every day in India due to accidents. The main reasons for these accidents are bad roads. The case was filed in the Supreme Court.

In this case, the case came up before the hearing of Judge Madan P Lokar. The judge said that the number of casualties in the border would be higher than the number of casualties faced by the terrorists and the deaths across the country,

The judge also pointed out that the accidents caused by bad roads from 2013 to 2017 show that the authorities did not focus on maintaining roads. The Supreme Court has asked the Central Government to file a response on the response of the Supreme Court to the Road Safety Committee headed by Justice KS Radhakrishnan regarding the accident in the bunker and bumpy roads in India.

The Supreme Court has pointed out that such livelihoods are due to the lack of relief for those who have lost their lives due to the bad roads and that the officers who are focused on maintaining the roads do not perform their work
