7.5 magnitude earthquake in New Caledonia in the South Pacific: tsunami warning leave

New Caledonia: A powerful earthquake has occurred today in the Pacific Islands of New Caledonia. The quake was recorded at 7.5 on the Richter scale. The tsunami warning has been issued following the earthquake. Officials have advised people to go to a safe place because of the tsunami warning. The earthquake in New Caledonia was a three-hour earthquake in local time.

The US National Tsunami Center has said that an earthquake measuring 10 miles on the southwestern Pacific is about 168 kilometers away.
