Developed countries need financial assistance to control climate change: asserting at the Polish Conference

Gotovis: "The countries that have developed to counteract climate change must be prepared to provide adequate financial aid," the Polish UN Conference said. The UN climate convention began in yesterday in Poland's Katois. Representatives from over 200 countries participated. Harsh Vardhan, Minister for Environment, has been present on behalf of India. The conference will be held till 14th of this month. At the Paris Climate Summit in 2015, international nations decided to cut global warming down to 2 degrees Celsius. This is followed by the Polish Conference. In this conference, targets for implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement are to be set. The global warming is becoming a major problem and urged the immediate aftermath of the Paris Convention on the first day of the convention.

Furthermore, by 2030, environmental pollution should be reduced by half. Meanwhile, the World Bank has allocated Rs 14 lakh crore annually for 2021-2025 for the prevention of climate change. At the same time, it is also emphasized that the advanced countries should provide financial assistance for action against climate change. Funding has been a major problem in controlling climate change. Countries including Poland, which run the conference, are heavily dependent on coal-based energy. Such countries are saying that it will require more time to switch to environmental harmless alternative energy. At the same time, US President Trump recently withdrew from the deal, saying the Paris agreement was not ready to finance. The World Conference will be discussed at the Poland Conference on how to deal with such challenges
