Maldivian ex-president's Rs 46 crore freezing

Colombo: Former Maldivian President Abdullah Yameen's Rs 46 crore bank account has been canceled due to corruption charges. Abdullah Yameen lost office in the presidential election last September in Maldives. Following this, he was accused of receiving Rs 10 crore in his personal bank account. Police are investigating the matter. Yesterday Abdullah Yamiin's bank accounts were frozen as police investigated him. There is a total of 46 crores.

In the course of his tenure, Yameen was taken into custody by the detainees. He is close to China and has given the neighbors to India. Ibrahim Mohammed Saleh, now president, is closer to India.
