Sirisena: No collision with Ranil

Colombo: The political chaos that lasted for the past one month has come to an end after Rajapaksa resigned as the controversial appointment. This was followed by Ranil Wickramasinghe as the new Prime Minister. It was said that the conflict between President Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil came to an end. In this case, the new cabinet headed by Prime Minister Ranil was sworn in yesterday. In this, Ranil has taken the responsibility of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Immigration, Northern Provincial Development, Vocational Training Skills and Youth Welfare. Tilak Janaka was sworn in as foreign minister.

At the same time, Chirisena is in the hands of the Security and Law Department. Under the Sri Lankan Constitution, the Prime Minister should act as a law-and-order department for domestic security. Also, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has nominated three names of Ranil's United National Party (UNP) Sirisena has rejected them. This is why Sirisena-Ranil's conflict is not yet complete
