police walking elderly drunk woman home find massive cannabis farm in her loft

Policemen walking an elderly drunk woman home were shocked to discover a massive cannabis farm in her loft. The 65-year-old woman from Newcastle along with her partner had set-up a laboratory-like area inside their home, reported Metro UK.

The incident took place when a concerned neighbour, seeking assistance for the 65-year-old intoxicated woman, called the police in Heaton, Newcastle, UK.  Inspector Julie Rana said the priority of the officers was to make sure the old woman, who was shouting in the streets, reached the home safely. After locating the elderly woman, the cops escorted her safely to her home. However, upon reaching the house, the cops were stumbled up 54 cannabis plants in the loft.

The drunk woman and a 69-year-old man in the house were arrested and the 54 cannabis plants were seized.  Rana further said that there are mixed views on the production of cannabis, but in reality, it is an illegal drug.

“Regardless of what people think about the effect of cannabis on society, we will take seize and destroy any farms that we discover in our line of duty,” Rana said.

However, the woman and the man were later released after questioning.

Cannabis can cause a lot of trouble and an 80-year-old Australian woman realised it last week when she and several other people were admitted to hospital after they consumed weed in a spiked cake, reports LadBible.

A 50-year-old victim, who was present at the party, told 3AW that the cake was served to the guests with fruits and cream and chocolate chunks spread over it.

“It turns out the chocolate chunks contained marijuana,” said the victim.
