ew York/New Jersey: On a day United States President Donald Trump condemned the horrific terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama by Pakistani terrorists, angry Indians in America took out protests and candlelight vigil to express angst and sorrow for the brave CRPF martyrs who laid down their lives.
While hundreds of Non-Resident Indians took out a protest outside the Pakistani consulate in New York on Friday, over 600 US-Indian residents held a candlelight vigil in memory of the CRPF jawans.
New Yorkers waved the tricolour and raised slogans of ‘Pakistan Murdabad’, ‘Global terror Pakistan, LeT Pakistan’, ‘9/11 Pakistan’, ‘26/11 Pakistan, Osama bin Laden Pakistan’, while also carrying placards that read ‘Pakistan – a terrorist nation’ and ‘Pakistan progress the country, not terrorism
Simultaneously, Indians in New Jersey held a memorial service at the Royal Alberts Palace, where Indian Consulate New York HOC, Jaideep Chola, and the mayor of Woodbridge, John McCormac, were also present, news agency ANIreported.
Indians across the globe have been denouncing the dastardly terror attack that killed innocent Indian soldiers and condemned Pakistan for their atrocities in the Indian subcontinent. The United Nations Security Council also condemned the ‘heinous and cowardly’ attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
Banned Pakistani terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out a brutal attack that killed 40 CRPF jawans on February 14 in Awantipora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The attack took place around 3:30 pm after a suicide bomber, identified as local boy Adil Ahmad Dar, in a Mahindra Scorpio car loaded with 350 kilograms of explosives rammed into a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying over 2500 CRPF personnel on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway
