Google recently announced that 80 new cities now display Lime transit in Google Maps, with 23 of those being outside the US.
In December, Google and Lime announced that Lime scooters, e-bikes, and pedal bikes are now visible as means of transport on Maps for Android and iOS in 13 cities throughout the US, New Zealand, and Australia; on Sunday, Google said that the number of cities where this feature is available has more than quintupled to 80.
Not only have the cities massively multiplied, but so have the number of countries on the list; in fact, four times the original number of countries can now see Lime transit options, as well as their respective prices and estimated times of arrival, in Maps.
When you tap on the Lime transit card within Maps, you’ll be redirected to the Lime app -- or the App or Play store if you don’t have it installed -- where you’ll be able to find a more precise location for the vehicle and then unlock it.
Google also noted that following this expansion, more cities were "coming soon."
