Pakistani decision to charge $ 20 entry fee to Sikhs from India

Authorities are planning to charge a $ 20 entry fee for Sikhs coming to India from Kardarpur. Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, lived in Kardarpur, Pakistan for the last time. In her memory, she is about 3 km from the international border. The Darbar Saqib Gurudwara is located on the banks of the Ravi River in the distance. The Sikhs consider it very sacred to go to this tomb. The 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak is to be celebrated.

The central government has decided to construct a special route from Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab state to the Gurdaspur district of Punjab for easy access to Sikhs from India. Subsequently, the Pakistani government has approved the construction of a road from Pakistan border to Kardarpur. It was decided at the meeting of the two countries that the Sikhs to visit Kardarpur Sahib without visa. It was also reported that 5000 Sikhs from India would be allowed to travel on this route daily without a visa.

In the meantime. It has been announced that the Kardarpur route will be opened for Indian Sikhs at 9am. In this case, Sikhs from India are charged $ 20 per entry fee. Information has emerged that authorities are planning. It is reported that the draft report has been given to India by the High Commission. India has strongly protested against this. India is also said to have not responded to the draft report
