16 girls from the same school in Zimbabwe are pregnant

Orton Trident's secondary schoolmates in Zimbabwe's Sirmonus district were pregnant with 16 people. Commenting on this, the coordinator of the National AIDS Council said: "Pregnancy in the young age is a major factor in hindering our HIV prevention programs.


In Orton School, 16 girls have been pregnant in the past 10 months. Some of these students ran out of school somewhere. All pregnant women are poor.

The school has a lot of miners in neighboring areas. They get US dollars in wages.
