The United States urges President Sirisena to immediately meet the Sri Lankan parliament

Washington: The US has urged the immediate gathering of the deposed Sri Lankan parliament. US State Department spokesman Heather Navarre said in a statement that the US is taking care of events in Sri Lanka. The United States, President Maithripala Sirisena, has urged the Speaker to consult with the Speaker and urged Parliament to immediately drop the violence.
