Sydney: Australia's government recognizes West Jerusalem as the state capital after the US has created a new controversy on the international arena. For many years, the war is going on for anyone in Jerusalem who is considered a holy city for Israeli Jewish people and Palestinian Muslims.

In December last year, US President Donald Trump recognized West Jerusalem as Israel's capital. The issue has caused tensions between the Middle East and Islamic countries. Australia has also recognized West Jerusalem as the state capital of the United States.

Speaking on this occasion, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that after long consultation and considerations, the Israeli capital of West Jerusalem would be accepted. At the same time, Scott Morrison said Australia's embassy would continue to operate in Tel Aviv. Scott Morrison said that they do not intend to move their embassy immediately to the capital of Israel, West Jerusalem
