Next time someone tells you ”too much chocolate is bad for you”, tell them the story of 51-year-old Stella Brown who recovered from a severe condition by only eating Cadbury’s Crème Eggs.
Brown was diagnosed with achalasia, an incurable oseophagus condition that affects a person’s ability to swallow, reported LadBible.
The 51-year-old was also suffering from a digestive disorder that made her feel sick in the stomach almost 20 times a day.
Brown used to vomit after every meal. But one day, when she was trying different foods to know what didn’t make her feel sick, a Crème Egg stayed down and digested.
"People don't believe me when I tell them Cadbury's Creme Eggs saved my life, but it's true. I tried so many things which I could keep down and they were the only food I could eat,” Brown was quoted by LadBible.
"I realised it by accident one day while trying to eat different foods which didn't make me sick, and it [a Creme Egg] stayed down. I ended up going through nine eggs a day - my kids bought me boxes of them and I'd just go through them one at a time,” she added.
Brown says she didn’t like the taste of the Crème Eggs at first and it took a lot of time to adjust to the sweetness.
According to reports, achalasia has only affected 6,000 people in the UK, and Brown was one of them.
There was a time when she couldn’t even drink water.
"The weight was literally dropping off me and it made me really depressed because I just looked gaunt. It was like I was starving to death."
Thanks to Crème Eggs, Brown has now regained her health and is also able to eat other food items.
"Whatever the future holds, I'm grateful for Creme Eggs because I'm sure that without them I wouldn't be here," she said
